America is at a crossroads and the 2010 elections will be a historic referendum on the future of our country. Politicians in Washington have abandoned their principles and, I believe, they have mortgaged our future with crippling debt, failed bailouts, and health care “reform” that is under-funded, unconstitutional, and ultimately unsustainable.

America needs a new direction and a new politics.

For too long incumbents from both political parties have occupied “safe seats” which result in Congressional races that don’t provide people with real choice. The result of this system is plain to see: Washington politicians continue to vote for profligate spending and higher taxes, despite the will of the people who want them to stop.

I am going to change that.

For the past five years I have been the Chairman of Primary Challenge, a group I founded in 2005 to educate people fed up with the political class and the unending taxing and spending that has crippled the economy of New York State. Long before Barack Obama and the Democrat supermajorities in Congress started to institute their destructive policies, I was instructing people in New York how to become a part of the political process from the grassroots level in order to change the government in Albany.

 I emphasized that only the ideas of limited government, lower taxes, and a drastic reduction in spending would be necessary to avoid a fiscal crisis in New York State.

I am running for the U.S. Congress because I see the same urgent necessity for change in the U.S. Congress as I did in New York government five years ago.

The American people must fight back if they are to stop the tax and spend policies of Washington that will burden our children and grandchildren with massive debt and a much lower standard of living in the future.
